How much will it cost to build?

Building cost is dependant on many factors among other the complexity of the structure, type of foundation required and materials used. The final cost of a structure is also determined by the finishes schedule. These specifications are prepared with the knowledge and participation of the client.

My fees?
A guide to standard recommended fees is published by SACAP annually. It is based on a percentage of building cost and/or hourly rate depending on the service level expected and complexity of the project which is determined at the initial briefing meeting.

My work stages?
I offer the full standard architectural service. This is well defined. The process is broken up in six basic stages: Stage 1 Inception; Stage 2 Concept and viability; Stage 3 Design development; Stage 4 Documentation and procurement; Stage 5 Construction; Stage 6 Close out.

My approach?
Modern lifestyles and needs must find expression in contextual building form. I strive to develop a contemporary regionalism which responds to socio-economic, climatic and environmental concerns.
I combine rational precedence analysis (drawing inspiration from past contextual structures) with non-rational conceptual thought processes such as drawing studies and models to generate new ideas. By implementing sound project management principles focussing on Scope, Time, Cost and Quality while facilitating Human resources, Risk, Communications, Procurement and Integration management, potential problems normally associated with a project are mitigated.
