Founded the Design practice Smith 3D Design
Participated in vocational training programmes with tertiary institutions

Founder member of SmithGroup, a multi-disciplinary design practice

Received numerous awards for design excellence in Interior and Exhibition design

1994 - 2000

Appointed as judge for exhibition design by the Cape Chamber of Commerce

Appointed to CERTECH Board – Certification Board for Technikon Education

Appointed to the National Council of DSADesign South Africa

Responsible for a column on design as a correspondent for Die Burger newspaper
