It is through the exploration of architectural practice, with its unique capacity to connect concept with matter by giving expression to the multiplicity of ideas and attitudes within a society, that I seek to craft form rooted in context and inspired by content, constantly developing alternative models towards an architectural language which integrates environmental, economic and cultural concerns.
This practice strives to follow realistic green building principles in which the resources, skills, materials and construction techniques is based on a contemporary translation of regional vernacular interpreting climatic, heritage, and other contextual concerns towards a sustainable typology. Each project has its unique challenges due to soil type, orientation, budget and client requirements and therefore there is no single design answer appropriate to the various situations.
